FAP boatyard is a young company led by Luca Pesce and his two sons Alex and Igor. Their mission is to build unique, made-to-measure, durable, com-fortable and beautiful wooden boats.

Il cliente che sceglie un’imbarcazione FAP vive fino in fondo e con consapevolezza la sua scelta e vive un’ esperienza perché é seguito e consigliato passo dopo passo dal nostro staff qualificato. From the very first meeting, the customer is involved while the de-sign of the boat is sketched out, then moves on to the actual design, and finally to the selection of the wooden plank necessary for the construction of the chosen model.

FAP boats are sartorial works because they are tailor-made and ex-press the personality of our customers.

As soon as he finishes compulsory school, Luca enters a carpentry workshop by chance and is immediately fascinated by that world full of scents thanks to the various types of wood. He became passionate and thus began to gain experience and work in various carpentries in the area until, at the age of 20, he arrived at the VZ boatyard.

There he learnt another trade and many secrets about the characteris-tics of wooden boats. In those years the desire to try building wooden boats himself, but smaller ones, was born strong in him. So in his leisure time he began to design and even built his first boat himself, with which, once completed, he took his family on Sunday outings in the venetian lagoon. Soon afterwards, relatives and friends began asking him to build them a wooden boat too and as beautiful and practical as his own.

Since 1995 Luca has been running his own handicraft business in a workshop full of machinery and tools, also availing himself of other collaborators, and realising tailor-made projects dedicated to the nautical world, either with the production of boats and or with nauti-cal fittings and furnishings. After finishing his studies, his sons Alex and Igor, who share his same passion and love for the nautical world, also began working with him, bringing a breath of fresh air, innovation and technology to this entrepreneurial activity.

For the construction of the boats, Luca, together with his sons, con-tinues to use ancient techniques and tools from the traditional craft of woodworking. The passion to create unique and customised pieces every day, and the love for the sea and the lagoon have led FAP boatyard today to create boats that never cease to amaze and excite its customers.

Our boats include various models ranging from 2.7m to over 6m. Once the model is chosen, we start with a simple sketch on a blank sheet of paper, then move on to the actual design and development of 3D model. The related internal customisation is designed side by side with the customer, to fully understand his needs, tastes, and thus realise a completely tailor-made boat, like a sartorial dress.

FAP’s experience and customers’ dreams meet and merge to create unique and durable pieces.

Our customers follow the production of their boat step by step. From the purchase of the mahogany, to the creation of the keel and the frames,, from the division of the interior spaces, to the choice of upholstery, to the colour of the paintwork. After more than 400 hours of work depending on the type of model, the boat is ready and we organise the launch day. The excitement is sky-high and we test the boat together with the customer by navigating the canals in the Lagoon for the first time, among the islands, and giving him instructions on how to pilot it and more.

Their joy is our greatest satisfaction.
